Associate
Professor Lawrence Lee is a vitreo-retinal specialist and established
City Eye Centre in 2001. Dr Lee has expertise in medical and surgical
retinal diseases, with particular interests in the treatment of age-related
macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment and
eye trauma. He also has expertise in complex cataract surgery, macular
hole and epiretinal membrane.
Dr
Lee undertook his ophthalmology training in Brisbane and completed
a Retinal Fellowship at the Sydney Eye Hospital. He was then awarded
the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists /Alcon Fellowship
to pursue further retinal training with the eminent Professor J. Donald
M. Gass at the Ophthalmology Department of the Vanderbilt University
Nashville, Tennessee USA. He later worked at the prestigious Moorfields
Eye Hospital in London where he was involved in managing complex retinal
disorders and vitreoretinal surgery.
